Though it has only been a month since fall/autumn officially began in late September, I’m already preparing myself for the coming winter months.  From hair and skin care (see one of my winter skin care must haves here), I’ve started laying the groundwork for my winter routine and in the process dug up one of my absolute favorite winter pieces, my wool trench coat from J. Crew.

I purchased this trench coat about 2 years ago (in heather acorn) as an investment piece.  It was an item I’d been eyeing for a while and I knew I could get a lot of wear out of.  J.Crew releases this coat each year, often with slight variations but the overall design remains the same.  Like many wool coats, it’s always classy, chic and durable.  I’ve featured several options below, ranging in price, that I believe are well worth the investment, or at least, a spot on your wardrobe wish list.
