There are two types of women in this world, well, two types of bag carriers.  Those who understand that only the essentials need to be carried in a bag and those who believe they will need all of their worldly possessions the second they step foot outside of the home.  Unfortunately for me, I fall into the latter category.  This contributes to my love of large purses and my serious problem with over-packing.  While a large purse is necessary on some occasions, carrying a five-pound bag around can be rather cumbersome.  In an attempt to be more efficient and quite frankly, save my shoulders from a world of hurt, I went in search of a bag that would allow me to carry the necessities, plus a tad bit more, which is where the crossbody bag comes into play.  I’ve found that these tend to be a much more appropriate size discouraging one from over stuffing the bag making them a chic and practical staple for every wardrobe.  Check out a few of the bags currently on my wish list.

4) The It Girl: I’ve been a fan of Rebecca Minkoff since my days as a Michigan Wolverine. Though the brand is nothing new to me, this ‘Hudson Moto’ Mini Crossbody ($265) is an absolute must have on my wish list. This petrol color is a great option for the season.

5) Classic And Chic: What can I say, this quilted CHANEL Large Classic Flap Bag ($6,000) is chic and classic in every way.

6) English Elite:  The Cambridge Satchel Company’s ‘The Classic’ in the color oxblood ($195) has been on my wish list for quite some time.  This beautiful, well made piece would be a long-term addition to any wardrobe.
