My attention to detail when it comes to nail care differs quite a bit during the warmer spring and summer months than fall and winter. Since I don’t have gloves and fleece lined pockets in which to burrow my hands, I tend to be a bit more attentive when painting my nails in spring and summer. So to end the spring themed week on the blog, I thought I’d conclude with a few nail care necessities and one wish list item.
I always begin by grooming my nails and this Catseye London ‘Silver Kitty’ Nail Care Kit is the cutest I’ve seen. I then a cotton pad in non-acetone polish remover to remove any residue from my hand lotion or natural oils. This prevents my polish from peeling within a day or two after application. Once my nails are clean and smooth, I use the Jin Soon Power Coat to prevent staining the nail bed. After that has dried, I add one to two coats of polish depending on the effect I’m after. I’ve been eyeing the Christian Louboutin ‘The Pops’ set. The colors are perfect for spring and certainly on my wish list. This DragonPad Nail Dotting Set comes in handy when getting creative with my polish designs. Since I’m not an expert when it comes to painting my nails, I like to have something on hand for easy clean up. The nails inc. London Corrector Pen makes the job easy. Finally, I finish the job with the tried-and-true OPI Top Coat to and a nice shine to my newly manicured nails and prevent chipping.
