With the holidays come a number of events, dinners, parties and the like.  From dinner with your significant other’s family as well as your own, to get-together’s with long time friends and holiday parties for work, dressing for all of these events can easily get tedious.  To help with the often uninspired and unvaried ensembles during this season, I thought I would share my simple go-to for looking effortlessly put together during the holidays.  It’s simply a chunky cable knit sweater paired with a skirt.  These staples can form a beautiful base for an effortlessly chic look.  For a more formal look, try an embellished long skirt, cable knit sweater, heels and statement accessories.  If you’d like a more casual look, try pairing a solid skirt with your favorite cable knit and flats.
